What we do
Servicing, repairs and inspections under one roof
Variety of work, from 4WDs and passenger vehicles through to light trucks and trailers. If it needs a service, a diagnosis, a repair or a certificate, it can be done here.
Mechanical repairs
General repairs across the lot, from a rattle you cannot place to an engine out on the crane. Petrol and diesel.
Vehicle diagnostics
Warning light on and nobody can tell you why. We plug in, read it properly and tell you what it actually needs.
Brakes, suspension and clutch
Brake, suspension and clutch repairs. The parts that decide whether you stop, steer and pull away the way you should.
EFS suspension upgrades
EFS suspension fitted and set up for the way you actually use the vehicle, whether that is corrugations, towing or load.
Wheel alignments and tyres
Alignments and tyres sorted in the one visit, so you are not chasing a second appointment somewhere else.
Roadworthy, COI and CL inspections
An Approved Inspection Station, so the inspection and any work it turns up can both be done here rather than in two places.
Batteries
Solite maintenance free and heavy duty batteries in stock and fitted. Useful in a climate that is hard on a battery.

Opening hours
We run a four day week,Monday to Thursday.
Worth knowing before you plan your week: the workshop is open Monday through Thursday and closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Book ahead where you can, especially for a roadworthy, and we will get you in.

About us
A busy, family owned workshop
Mossman Mechanical is run by Jamie and Ryan out of the shed at 59 Pringle Street. It is a family owned workshop with a great reputation for quality workmanship and honest service, and the way we see it, the job gets done right the first time or it is not done.
Being an Approved Inspection Station matters more than it sounds. It means a roadworthy, a COI or a CL inspection can be carried out here, and if the inspection turns something up, the repair happens in the same shed rather than sending you off to somebody else and back again.
We look after 4WDs, passenger vehicles, light trucks and trailers, and we keep Solite batteries and Shell Helix oils on the shelf. Plenty of our work comes from locals around Mossman and the Douglas Shire, and a fair bit from travellers heading up to the Daintree who need something sorted before they go.
